Viso-Therm Infrared specializes in imaging, inspection and analysis in the 1 to 17 micron range of the electromagnetic spectrum. The solutions we provide are noninvasive, nondestructive and non-contact. Viso-Therm Infrared has demonstrated solutions ranging from the micro circuit wafer inspection, to acupuncture and sports medicine, to aerodynamics of racecars, to cite a few.

Viso-Therm Infrared solutions range from off the shelf standard hardware and custom imaging configurations. The Orion Black Byrd thermal imaging camera is designed for maximum flexibility. The superior image quality of the camera is achieved by maximizing the thermal detectors performance with state of the art embedded digital signal processing technologies, spectral algorithms and anti-blooming mechanisms. The system does not limit the user to predefine settings as with other cameras. The system allows the user, (via serial control with the Orion-SIM software), to adjust integration time, dynamic range, spectral filtering and other perimeters and save the user defined setting to embedded flash ram. Most importantly, the camera runs at 30 hertz, so there is no delay.  Everything is real time!

 

Viso-Therm Infrared Inc introduces the BlackbIRd series of cameras. These systems are fully customizable amorphous silicon (ASi), 30 microns pitch Infrared Cameras. The Orion Blackbird series thermal imaging cameras are equipped with Advanced Image Processing, an innovative technology that provides sophisticated images and unsurpassed color capabilities. One of its most unique features is customizable absolute color. This means the operator can set color points at discrete, definable temperatures. For example the color points of high-heat temperatures can be set to appear in hues such as red, orange or yellow, while cooler temperatures remain in grey shades. A new 30 micron pitch detector provides a smaller and lighter design. Therefore, the form factor can be integrated into hands-free systems or smaller hand-held versions, further reducing  the overall weight. The detector provides high sensitivity for increased scene detail and includes a new read-out integrated circuit (ROIC) which offers expanded dynamic temperature range. The Blackbird plug and play software provides the foundation of the camera module and flexibility. Via the USB interface the Blackbird features can be controlled and programmed in to camera. Features such as electronic zoom, polarity, color and custom color tailoring all through an advanced Graphical User Interface.   Identification System termed K2. Unlike other technologies that only operate in good weather conditions the K2 system combines the overall effectiveness of thermal imaging with a redundant fail safe far infrared laser scanner that operates flawlessly in extreme fog and torrential rain. False alarms are the exception as the software was derived from DRAs proven optical missile detection and aircraft anti-collision avoidance algorithms. The advantage of thermal imaging is apparent when viewing this image below.

 

 

 

Tracking of up to fifty possible treats are automatically identified and classified within 120ms or less. The user is provided with both an audible and visual alert to. The classification algorithms utilize data from the thermal imager(s) and/or laser identifying the properties of the intruder such as a human, boat or vehicle with an optional to filter to ignore animals if practical. Multiple thermal imagers can be configured along rivers, boarders and as the object passes from one sector to another the K2 system never looses track of the object; even when the possible threat goes behind another object the system waits for it to move again .GPS data and sector location is also displayed providing for a rapid response to the threat. The software runs on both a Windows XP system for base operations or a PocketPC for field applications. Standard systems have battery backup and with optional solar cells power is never a problem. The K2 system ranges from wired configuration to remote satellite configurations that are fully operable anywhere in the world. Deployment of the remote system is  easy as taking a briefcase to a location and setting it up within a matter of minutes.
